In a word…yes but it’s like anything else you get what you pay for. Certainly picking up a package of Whitestrips shouldn’t be confused with laser teeth whitening or Zoom Teeth Whitening. These teeth whitening procedures can improve the shade of your teeth by up to 8 - 10 shades in one 60 minute chair side visit to your Teeth Whitening Dentist.
But where whitestrips really shine is in keeping that teeth whitening investment you sunk all those dollars into maintained. Like all teeth whitening products whitestrips contain hydrogen peroxide which is the active ingredient in all teeth whitening products but in much smaller concentration levels. A random study of 32 people in 2002 funded by Proctor and Gamble, the makers of Crest WhiteStrips, found that 94% of those using whitestrips claimed significant whitening.
Take it for what it’s worth but whitestrips are here to stay as they fill a teeth whitening niche for those who either don’t need, don’t want or just plain can’t afford the more expensive teeth whitening options.
